Inaugural ceremony of Jharkhand Pavilion at The India Show 2012

The decision of the state Government to send a high level delegation led by Mrs. Vimla Pradhan Hon’ble Minister for Tourism and social welfare and have a long term partnership with EEPC has already started paying dividends. Jharkhand shared center stage today with the pride and privilege of having ‘The India Show 2012, Tokyo, Japan” inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for tourism and social welfare Mrs. Vimla Pradhan. Later the minister also inaugurated the Jharkhand pavilion accompanied by Commerce Secretary Sri S.R. Rao and ambassador of India to Japan Shri Alok Prasad. India is the partner country at M-Tech Tokyo Big Sight Japan, 20-22 June 2012 and over 80 Indian companies and organizations are participating in the India Show, Tokyo. Mecon and HEC along with three industrial units from Adityapur Industrial Area, Multitech Components, JMT Ltd and RSB Transmissions Co Ltd are representing the Industrial sector Of Jharkhand. Various companies such as Nissan Forklift Co Ltd evinced keen interest in the forging and heat treatment items of Adityapur industrial area and the engineering goods manufactured by MSMEs in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Pavilion has focused mainly on the industrial strength of the state especially in the automotive sector, the Buddhist circuit of Jharkhand and the success story weaved by Jharkhand organic silk. Earlier in the day Jharkhand pavilion was visited by Commerce Secretary Sri S.R. Rao and Ambassador of India to Japan Shri Alok Prasad who showed keen interest in the organic silk of Jharkhand and suggested that gender equality, complete elimination of child labour and wage equality must be stringently adhered to for making a sustained presence in the international market. Several senior officials of the Central Government, EEPC and Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Japan officials and directors and delegates of various companies and organizations of Japan visited the pavilion throughout the day.
